A visit to Wales

I have just returned from a pleasent visit to my sister in South Wales. As you can see from the pictures i took, she lives in quite a rural area whose main employment was Farming or Coal Mining. Little trace now exists to show how big the coal mining industry was in this area, all is now grass and idilic countryside as if the former industry never existed.

My sister Christie and my niece Ffion on theire way to feed the lambs.

My sisters family have a small flock of sheep who were in the middle of the lambing season when i visited. One of the Ewes had triplets while i was there.

Whilst visiting my sister it was nice to visit old friends. I have known Ray and Marion for many years and it was a highlight of my visit re aquainting myself with them, and finding out what life has had in store for them. Some people you meet as you progress through life remain with you, and Talking to Ray and Marion made me feel as if it had only been a couple of days since i had seen them last and not the 30 years it had been in reality. Good friends are to be treasured, thats for sure.

I was only in Wales for 5 days but managed to catch up with my brother in law Mike and nephew Tom. We had a pleasent lunch on Sunday and caught up on events. I hope to visit again soon and next time maybe Chris will come with me.
